This Whirlwind Called Life!

Things have somewhat settled down in my world. I have finally secured a stable job, household, and we are getting our finances back under control. As things settle into a more discernible rhythm, I plan on getting into making regular updates and tossing in some more content and extras here and there.

For now, however, I will leave you with the idea that we are not to be mere spectators in the Christian life. If you aren’t being active and intentional with your life and witness, you are truly missing out on what God has planned for your life.

Trust me on that one!

Dramatic Changes!

Sometimes, you just have to start over.

Be it songs, games, or the occasional essay. Life is no different.

There comes a time when life seems to reach a point where you just can’t get any further on the road that you are traveling, so you must do something different. You can’t hit “reset”, but you can make changes.

Drastic changes.

Changes like moving your family across the nation. See where I am going with this? I have recently reached that point in my life where change was needed, and I jumped at an opportunity to drastically change my life. I moved 2500 miles away from comfortable, and am now living in Middle Tennessee.

Neither my wife nor I have a job, but we still have bills coming out of our bank account. We are totally and completely living off of God’s good humor, and it’s both as terrifying as it is electrifying. To know that I am right where God wants me right now is a thrill, but it’s also nerve wracking. I’m no longer in control, and that’s the way it should be.

I don’t know what God has in store for me. All I know is that I want to be in the center of His will — and this is it. I know that beyond a shadow of a doubt – I just have a hard time remembering that from time to time.

New Things

Things have been changing around here.  I’ve changed the site over to more of a blog-type feel, and added several buttons and feeds and scrolly things.  To the right, I have added My Facebook fan page feed; to the left, my Twitter feed. Up above the header bar, I’ve added buttons to the previously mentioned Twitter and Facebook, as well as my Blog page. I have a blog that is separate from this website because . .  well, I don’t really know why. I think I wanted to have a space that was dedicated to my musings that was different than the place to receive simple fan information (dates of shows, media, etc., etc.).

Now, all of that information is cool and stuff, but there really should be new content to go with all of the updated swag on the website, right?  Well, that is on it’s way as well. I’m working on video as well as auditory delights to wow the senses.

All of that to say: Stay tuned, audiophiles. The best is yet to come!

7n7

So, I’m considering doing something called 7n7.  It’s a songwriting challenge of creating 7 full and complete works in 7 days.  If I take this challenge up, and believe me when I say that it’s a daunting task, I think I’ll post the updates and links on Google Plus exclusively (aside from here, of course).

I just wonder if it’s something I should pursue.

Working on some new web-stuff.

Stay tuned.
